Powerage accueil une nouvelle recrue: Cliff Williams. Il remplace Mark Evans (ce dernier devenant de moins en moins ambitieux, et ne sachant plus supporter Angus).
Sur la 1ere édition vinyle Européenne, Rock'n'Roll Damnation n'était pas présente tandis qu'un titre très méconnus du public, Cold Hearted Man, était présent. Vu la forte popularité du 45T Rock'n'Roll Damnation, cette dernière s'est vu ajoutée sur les nouvelles éditions de Powerage. Inutile de vous dire que l'édition avec Cold Hearted Man sans Rock'n'Roll Damnation est un véritable collector !

Enfin, la discographie d'AC/DC cesse d'être un “casse-tête » ! Ce live d'anthologie ne connaît pas de réelles différences quant à ses différentes éditions ! Si ce n'est qu'une version « collector » en vinyle multicolor ! Pour l'histoire, on retiendra que ce live n'était pas prévu en son origine ! En effet, c'est un « Best of » qui aurait du voir le jour.

L'un des albums le plus célèbre du groupe grâce au titre Highway To Hell.
Au niveau des différents pressages vinyles, il y eu 3 pochettes différentes, une pochette pour l'Océanie, une pochette pour l'Allemagne de l'Est et une pochette pour le reste du monde. Au niveau du contenu, ça reste le même.

Back In Black ... l'album le plus vendu du groupe, l'arrivée d'un nouveau chanteur Brian Johnson. Mais c'est surtout un album dédié à Bon Scott qui vient à peine de nous quitter ... Un album qui montre évolution du groupe, il tourne la page du rock'n'roll gras et bluesy pour laisser place à la page du Hard Rock.
